Silver Dollar City and Decoration Party!

I said I wouldn't face the crowds, but I did it. I broke down and took Holly to Silver Dollar City to see the lights. I'm so glad I did. She loved every second of it. She loved the lights, the music, the food, and the fun she got to have with her cousin Mason.

On our way to SDC we stopped by the outlet mall and found H a new hat!! After we got to SDC, it was still day light and she wanted to snuggle up in her stroller!

Holy and Mason running around waiting for the tree to light up!

Taking silly pictures.

Holly's Aunt Manny wanted us to have a funnel cake for her - This one's for you Aunt Manny!

Beautiful Tree!!

After we got home from SDC, Holly kept asking us to have a "Decoration Party" ~ Will and I both confused as to what a "Decoration Party" is, made up a fun party for Holly.
We planned to go over to her Nonni and Poppa's house after I finished my finals and have a party! We bought her her own little hot pink tree to decorate. We played Christmas music and let to make a big mess with the sequins and glue. After we got the mess cleaned up, had dinner, and a bath - we watched The Grinch together. All in all, I think it was a very successful "Decoration Party". This might be a new Apple tradition for us!

Park, Play, and Fun!

We went to the park more this past summer and fall then we ever have. It's nice living close to Holly's cousins (Kaybrina and Landon) because we can just meet up any time at the park!
Kaybrina, Holly, Landon

My two sister in laws and I took all the kids to see "Cinderlla" the play. They had SO much fun and LOVED it! I love that they're all old enough to go do fun things together and the memories that they are making together.

Taking Will and Holly out together can be a task at times! I love them both to death, but together...they're like two kids!
Can you imagine taking these two out in public??

But then again...they can be totally civil (not normally, but it is possible)

I recently learned that Holly LOVES Panera's tomato soup...Wanna know how? She took mine and wouldn't give it back! She ate the whole bowl!!

Holly has the best Aunt Rose and Aunt Ashley! They always do fun projects and stuff with her. When Will and I went to Vegas earlier this month, Aunt Rose invited Holly over to make Christmas calendars to count down the days until Christmas!

Speaking of Vegas....this was my bath tub - I wish I could have taken it home with me! I LOVE taking baths.

That's all for this post! Next - Silver Dollar City, Decoration Party, and Baking!

Destin, FL ~ August 2011

We went to Destin, FL for our family vacation this year. We went with some of Will's family and had a lot of fun!
We drove over night to get to Destin around noon the next day.

Holly found some "Hello Kitty" gummies and HAD to have them. I don't know who ate more...her or her daddy?!?!

First day to the beach. She was SO excited!

Her and her daddy. I love this picture.

Me and H at the beach.

Getting a little tired, but not wanting to go home yet!

I got a BIG drink...and it was good...and I drank it ALL (with some help from Will).

After dinner, walking back to the car.

And of course we had to have Marble Slab!! It's the BEST!

Will with his sister, mom, and brother.

Headed home...Still wondering why they both got to sleep there and back?

The past 7 months....

It's been 7 months since I last posted - So let me catch you up.

1. Our landlord sold our house and we moved in with my parents. (YIKES!)
This was a good choice because I had to go to class so much more than any other semester. So my mom was there to help with Holly. ~ We're currently looking for a new house to rent and I have some things that I MUST have:
               1. Big kitchen
               2. Big bath tub
               3. Big closet

2. Holly got her first haircut.
        Such a bitter-sweet moment!

3. I turned 25!!

4. We went to Destin, FL. ~ I'll make a whole post about that.

5. I finished school at NWACC and transfered to Harding. ~ Starting Harding next week!

6. Holly started gymnastics. ~ Holly and Kaybrina started gymnastics together; however, we pulled Holly from it for another year or so. She won't listen to the teacher or do what she says. She wants to do what she wants to do. (She's going to have a rude awakening soon).

7. Will turned 27!!

8. We had a big traditional Thanksgiving and black friday shopping.

9. Will and I went to Vegas. ~ Just to get away for a few days.

10. I took my dad shopping! AND he bought something!!
For any of you that know my dad...you know this is UNHEARD of!

11. My sister had a baby.

12. We had a wonderful Christmas.
Those are the top 12 things that have happened over the last 7 months. I will do more posts to expand on our vacation, baking, and holidays!

For the Love of Cake!

I had no intentions of baking the rest of this week; however, last night that all changed. I got home and the hubs told me I needed to test out some chocolate peanutbutter cupcakes. So....we baked up some chocolate peanut butter cupcakes! They turned out SO good. And the batter actually made a FULL 24 cupcakes! I usually only get about 15-18 cupcakes out of my batter.
I brought them to work with me today and delivered them to all of the people that send me contracts (my work). Should I really be rewarding the people that give me work to do?? Hmmm...Good thought!

Next on the agenda to bake (this weekend) is white chocolate raspberry, chocolate chile, and chocolate chip cookie dough! Feel free to post ideas and I will be sure to make them!
