Mini Project!

I'm so excited to start getting things and creating things for my own classroom that I will hopefully have next year...if I get a job. Today, I made these...they were really easy and I know they will come in handy!

I went to Walmart and got 2 plastic cups from the school supplies section and a pack of avery white shipping labels. I just typed them out and stuck the labels on!

Free Time...WHAT??

Starting this week I will only be working two days a week for a couple months. I need to focus on school, all my observations/tutoring in the classroom, and getting Holly registered Pre-K! I can't believe that it's almost March! I only have 9 months of work at Walmart left before I take my LOA (leave of absence) for my student teaching! ~ Pray I find a job when I graduate. Please and thank you!~

I believe (knock on wood) that my little family is just about all healed. We had about two weeks where I didn't know if we'd ever get better! Holly got the stomach bug, then an ear infection, then Will got the bug, then me!! And over this time we visited the doctor 4 times for Holly's ear and the ENT (ear, nose, and throat doctor) 3 times! The diagnosis you ask?? She has a hole in her left ear drum that is over half the size of her ear drum (huge), and a small hole in her right ear drum. They are not doing anything just yet - this is our starting point. We will observe her over the next few months to see if she gets any more infections, sick, holes get bigger or smaller. If the holes do not begin to heal up on their own (might happen...might not happen) then they will have to do surgery to fix her ear drums! My poor baby!! She acts perfectly fine now, but it hurts when we wash her hair and get any water in her ear. We're going to start using ear plugs to prevent water from getting in her ears.

I look forward to my short weeks of work! Maybe I'll actually get some laundry done and my room cleaned....and then again, maybe not! :) Have a great weekend! (Mine starts today)

Lazy Day

This has been a pretty awesome weekend. I stayed home with Holly on Friday because she wasn't feeling well, took her to the doctor and to get Valentine's Day pictures made. (Which she did an AWESOME job) Friday night Holly went to bed really early, so my mom, Janet, and I watched Crazy, Stupid, Love. It was SO good! Saturday I didn't get up until 9! My hubby got up with Holly, cooked her breakfast and let me sleep in! :) Then I dropped Holly off to play with her counsins, Kaybrina and Landon. I went to lunch at Market Place with my friend, Stephanie. Then, we went back to her house to watch movies! We watched I Don't Know How She Does It, and (go figure) Crazy, Stupid, Love. I went to Barnes and Noble and got The Pioneer Woman cookbook then picked up Holly, along with Kaybrina and Landon. Their parents went out to dinner while I kept them. I also baked some chocolate marshmallow cupcakes!

Holly, Kaybrina, and Landon created a fort in the hallway. They were SO quiet...I actually watched a movie and didn't even know they were here!

She loved getting her pictures taken...being sick and all!

Today was an extremely LAZY DAY. I literally got up, my mom cooked breakfast, I ate, she went to town, and I laid in the recliner all day and watch TV. I got up to feed Holly and the hubs even put her down for a nap! (I'm spoiled, I know!) Well...so I thought a nap. I found evidence that there wasn't much sleeping going on....

Now that I've gotten to relax this weekend, it's time to get prepared for my work/school week. I have class on Tuesday (Education Law & Ethics) and Thursday (Assessments in Early Childhood Education). But, in all honesty, I really enjoy my classes. I get to learn a lot about my own child! In less than 1 year I will be doing my student teaching, and less than 17 months I will be graduating!

Have a GREAT week!

It's a new year!

It's only January 4th and I've ALREADY started school again; however, I did find out yesterday that I got a scholarship from Harding for having a high GPA!

I just started my first class at Harding, and I think I'm really going to like it. The set up of their classes is really nice because I only take 2 classes at a time, and I get a month break from Feb 9-March 15! Which is when we will be moving!

We're not sure where yet, but we'll be moving sometime in Feb/March. I think we have decided to move to Bentonville to be closer to work/school. It will save gas and when Holly starts school, she'll get to go with her cousin Maddie. They're really close and play SO well together. Their birthdays are only 15 days apart. Maddie's birthday is April 3, and Holly's is April 18! This is them at Christmas...
I know it's only January, but I've already started looking at houses to rent in Destin in August! Gotta have something to look forward to, right?? I've actually been considering taking Holly to Disney World, but Will is totally against it because it's so expensive. We went there on our honeymoon and it wasn't very much fun. Here's why:
1. We went the first week in June
2. It was WAY HOT
3. There were a TON of people there
4. They gave us a room with 2 beds...ummm hello?? I guess they didn't get the "honeymoon" memo.

Anyways, now my husband belives that Disney will always be horrible and doesn't want to go. - That's okay...I'm happy with the beach...again. :)
The good thing about the beach is that you can relax, take naps, swim in your private pool, and pretty much do as much or as little as you'd like.

Well, 2011 has come and gone and I can say that I'm pretty happy it's over. It wasn't bad...but it wasn't easy!

Silver Dollar City and Decoration Party!

I said I wouldn't face the crowds, but I did it. I broke down and took Holly to Silver Dollar City to see the lights. I'm so glad I did. She loved every second of it. She loved the lights, the music, the food, and the fun she got to have with her cousin Mason.

On our way to SDC we stopped by the outlet mall and found H a new hat!! After we got to SDC, it was still day light and she wanted to snuggle up in her stroller!

Holy and Mason running around waiting for the tree to light up!

Taking silly pictures.

Holly's Aunt Manny wanted us to have a funnel cake for her - This one's for you Aunt Manny!

Beautiful Tree!!

After we got home from SDC, Holly kept asking us to have a "Decoration Party" ~ Will and I both confused as to what a "Decoration Party" is, made up a fun party for Holly.
We planned to go over to her Nonni and Poppa's house after I finished my finals and have a party! We bought her her own little hot pink tree to decorate. We played Christmas music and let to make a big mess with the sequins and glue. After we got the mess cleaned up, had dinner, and a bath - we watched The Grinch together. All in all, I think it was a very successful "Decoration Party". This might be a new Apple tradition for us!

Park, Play, and Fun!

We went to the park more this past summer and fall then we ever have. It's nice living close to Holly's cousins (Kaybrina and Landon) because we can just meet up any time at the park!
Kaybrina, Holly, Landon

My two sister in laws and I took all the kids to see "Cinderlla" the play. They had SO much fun and LOVED it! I love that they're all old enough to go do fun things together and the memories that they are making together.

Taking Will and Holly out together can be a task at times! I love them both to death, but together...they're like two kids!
Can you imagine taking these two out in public??

But then again...they can be totally civil (not normally, but it is possible)

I recently learned that Holly LOVES Panera's tomato soup...Wanna know how? She took mine and wouldn't give it back! She ate the whole bowl!!

Holly has the best Aunt Rose and Aunt Ashley! They always do fun projects and stuff with her. When Will and I went to Vegas earlier this month, Aunt Rose invited Holly over to make Christmas calendars to count down the days until Christmas!

Speaking of Vegas....this was my bath tub - I wish I could have taken it home with me! I LOVE taking baths.

That's all for this post! Next - Silver Dollar City, Decoration Party, and Baking!
